Pro BTP
Character illustrations and visual system for a team-building game addressing workplace health and safety, designed to make serious content accessible and engaging.

I developed the visual identity and character illustrations for an internal engagement game created for Pro BTP in partnership with Collock, the gamification studio that handled game mechanics and player experience design. The challenge was creating illustrations that made occupational health and safety feel approachable rather than mandatory training.
The game featured scenario cards with characters in different situations, refraction, hesitation, construction, ambassadorial roles. Each illustration needed clarity and warmth so teams could engage without feeling lectured. The color palette stayed consistent and inviting. Character design was purposefully diverse and relatable, avoiding corporate sterility.
Like textile design, this work required understanding constraints. Card printing meant considering how colors reproduced, how detail survived at printed scale, how readability worked in physical game play. Every illustration was built to perform as a game component, not as isolated art. The work balanced serious subject matter with visual lightness, making health and safety conversation something teams actually wanted to participate in.
